View north from Pissouri
A quiet morning in the square
Dinner at the Vine Leaf
Early morning not-parkrun along the beach promenade at Pissouri Bay
Out for a drive into the hills
Early morning view from the villa across to the Akrotiri peninsula
Preparations at Paphos Castle for a concern, as I do a long training run in preparation for my half-marathon coming next month.
I ran the full length of the coastal footpath – it was very hot and I wilted a bit towards the end
A quick stop on the way back from lunch at the Last Castle – the intention was to take photos of each of us here, and somehow stich them together to show us both through the heart, but we never quite managed it, so here is the one with Lucy.
Asprokemmos Reservoir, with water levels very low
So low that we travelled down onto the dry base of the reservoir
A Venetian bridge, which is sometimes submerged beneath the reservoir
The abandoned Turkish-Cypriot village of Foinikas – some of the buildings are at times immersed in the water, earning it the name ‘sunken village’.
The remains of what is said to be a sugar factory near Kouklia
Out for an early morning run on the cliffs near the villa
An impressive olive tree in Avdimou is thought to be about 700 years old.
Trozena Iron Bridge, a Bailey Bridge built by the British
The restored “water dang”, dating from 1890.
Taking the horse out for a walk
Grapes in the valley looking down to Pissouri Bay
Tzelefos Bridge, probably the best known of the Venetian bridges of Cyprus
Enjoying the view of the bridge
Still quiet in the Square, but a bit more activity
